The BICC department is the champion of Business Intelligence at QUT.
BICC is responsible for gathering and supplying business information to support better decision making.
This includes:
- Creation and maintenance;
- QUT corporate dashboard.
- Business Objects Universes.
- Business Objects Reports.
- Maintaining Business Intelligence tools and environment;
- Keeping Business Objects software up to date (manage upgrades).
- Keeping BI server and environment in optimal condition.
- Maintaining user access.
- Training users;
- Using corporate dashboard.
- Using BO reports.
- Creating BO reports.
- Creating New Reporting Solutions;
- Assisting users in specification of reporting requirements.
- Working with Data warehouse team to extract needed data.
- Creating necessary universes and reports.
- Cleaning up current BI environment;
- Quality assurance of existing Universes.
- Quality assurance of existing BO reports.
- Migrating existing universes to new BO environment.
