UniPay Project

The UniPay Project was created to implement over three phases, the Online Payment Solution designed by StrataPay Pty Ltd. UniPay Phase 1, is primarily aimed at supporting the roll out of SAMS by facilitating the integrated online payment of all fees held in SAMS. Secondary objectives of the Phase 1 project include the collection of most of the University’s “known debt” revenue, and prototyping of a shopping cart. “Known Debt” includes Trade Debtor Invoices, Parking Permits & Parking Infringements. UniPay Phase 2 will open up the shopping cart to collect almost all revenue that is currently collected by on-campus cashiers. UniPay Phase 3 will add additional features to the shopping cart to make the solution easier to administer in a distributed fashion.

Student Financials Process Review Project

Student revenue comprises almost half of the University’s total revenue, and as a result, Student-related business processes (and the Student System) involve significant interaction with the University’s financial, statistical and planning processes and systems (in particular, Oracle Financials and QCR). As such, the implementation of the new Student and Academic Management System (SAMS), and the resulting change to the processes undertaken within the Student System, significantly impacts the activities undertaken by FRP, requiring FRP to similarly re-develop its business processes and systems interfaces.

The objectives of the Student Financials Process Review project is to ensure that the financial and statistical planning aspects of the SAMS implementation meet the relevant FRP policies and standards, and in doing so, identify and capitalise on opportunities for potential process and systems improvements. This project is to run in a phased approach. Phase One will encompass the business process analysis, and Phase Two will cover the technical design, build and testing as well as training and implementation.
