Introduction

Insurance coverage is a key element of the University's Risk Management Framework and plays a critical role in protecting the University and its staff from liabilities related to circumstances and events both contemplated from its business undertakings, and unforeseen in the case of events like natural disasters.

The University's insurance policy is renewed annually on the 1st of November of each calendar year.

The University has appointed Aon Risk Services Pty Limited as its Insurance Brokers.

If the need to make a claim arises, you should follow the procedures which are outlined in the following pages.

Please note that claim procedures vary for the type of claim you are submitting.

Any inquiries about insurance coverage or progress on a particular claim should be directed to the Insurance Broker

It is essential that you do not rely on insurance as a substitute for proper risk management.
