 This policy covers the University, its officers and certain other persons and organisations (the Insured Parties) affiliated to the University, against all amounts which any of the Insured Parties shall become legally liable to pay in respect of Personal Injury or Property Damage caused by an occurrence in connection with QUT business and/or our Products, including expenses incurred with the Insurer's consent in defence or settlement of any claim.
If a situation arises where you become aware of a claim or potential claim under this policy, you must take the following action:
- Inform Accounting Services immediately in writing reporting any circumstances likely to give rise to a claim. All correspondence and other documents should be sent with your notification.
- Do not admit liability or make any observation or comment as to who is responsible.
- Any evidence which may prove useful in defending any action should be preserved, wherever possible.
Please also note MOPP Policy A/7.1.4 regarding procedures to follow in the event of legal proceedings against QUT.
